On the outside I am calm. I answer questions. I cast vision. I reassure the team. But internally I am wrestling with doubt, fear, and unanswered questions. Cash flow projections that do not quite line up. A key hire that may or may not work out. A product decision that could cost us months if we get it wrong.
I remember one particular quarter when revenue stalled and expenses did not. I had to stand in front of the team and communicate clarity while still processing my own uncertainty. I felt the weight of being the shock absorber. Everyone else looked to me for steadiness.
This verse reminds me that I was never meant to be the foundation. God is.
